Summary

Since this book was written in 1989, the shadows over the world have grown deeper and longer. Many of us may have become blindly accustomed to the persistently deteriorating state of affairs. Charles Colson has dedicated his life to providing a clear diagnosis of our predicament and a rational guide to action for Christians in the Western world.

Author Biography

Charles W. Colson served as special counsel to President Richard M. Nixon from 1969 to 1973. In 1974 he pleaded guilty to charges related to Watergate and served seven months in federal prison. The story of his conversion to Christ, told in the worldwide bestseller Born Again, has been followed by fourteen other books and many articles, essays, and media broadcasts. Chuck Colson is best known as founder and chairman of Prison Fellowship, which is the largest prison ministry in the world, and as one of America's most respected Christian commentators on social issues. Ellen Santilli Vaughn, is former vice president of executive communications for Prison Fellowship. She also assisted Chuck Colson on seven other well-known books
