Help Desk Information
Online Bookstore 101
What is a Online Textbook Source? Your school has partnered with us to provide a Online Textbook Source for your textbook and other course material needs – it works just like a physical store on your campus would, instead of shelves there is a website.
We are proud to offer this service for your school and its students and our customer service department is dedicated to making your experience – before you order, as you order and after – the very best it can be.
You will create an account during the check-out process when you place your first order.
· Your account – log in at your Online Textbook Source for access to My Orders (your Order History), which includes the return for refund process, My eBookshelf, Manage My Rentals (return by due date, extend or purchase), Buyback History, available credits, notification preferences, address updates and more.
· Help Desk – provides all the information about policies, processes and procedures that you are looking for
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a voicemail at 1-877-284-6744 (if it is outside our normal business hours) and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible on the next business day
The Online Textbook Source listings are by term, campus (where applicable), course and section – with information provided directly to us by your school – so you can be sure you are ordering the right items, for the right courses. If there are changes to the requirements, we’ll work with your school to resolve this for any students who are affected.
Other details are also listed if the school requests them, for example
· Item designated as Required New by your school (usually due to components that are needed for your class, such as access cards/codes, that can only be used once or because the book has to be in new condition, such as a looseleaf/3-hole punch edition or a workbook or lab manual)
· No items required for the course that are provided by the Online Textbook Source
-Items for the course are still being determined
· Items used in a previous course or also used in an upcoming course, usually for courses in a two- or three-semester sequence
· Information about items needed for the course that are obtained from another source – may be from the instructor/school, another website, as a download, etc.
· Specifics about how to choose when more than one version of a required item is offered, anything the school/instructor felt was important to share with you as you ordered
· Most items ship from our distribution center in Lexington KY. We use the USPS/United States Post Office and UPS/United Parcel Service depending on the level of service you select and the distance/transit time.
· Some shipments will come directly from the publisher or a distributor if that option is available and will get the item to you more quickly.
· Electronic products are emailed to you or may be accessible via the eBook Library in your account at the Online Textbook Source. In a few cases (usually high schools) the access may be assigned by your school.
· Marketplace orders are processed via the Online Textbook Source but are one-to-one transactions between you and the individual seller who will ship the order.
Think of the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) as a book’s Social Security Number – unique to each book. A 4th edition and a 5th edition would have different ISBNs, a paperback and hardcover edition of the same title would have different ISBNs. If two books are together in a bundle, each book has an ISBN but a separate and distinct ISBN is assigned to the bundle itself. Sometimes you will see a 10 digit ISBN and a 13 digit ISBN (starts with 978) – they are interchangeable, exactly the same for any use you might have for them.

You agree not to hold eCampus.com responsible in the event eCampus.com does not credit or debit your credit or debit card for a period of time due to circumstances beyond our control. eCampus.com makes no guarantees regarding the processing time for charges.
You agree to keep your credit card or debit card in good standing during the term of your rental. eCampus.com reserves the right to charge your card a fee of any amount leading up to but not exceeding the new list price as indicated on our site at the time of the charge for a book that is not returned. eCampus.com reserves the right to attempt a re-charge of a declined credit/debit card periodically, at any time and for any number of attempts, to collect amounts outstanding on your account.
