Summary

The appeal of blue and white is universal. The color combination of sky and cloud, of sea and wave, finds expression in countries around the world, from Finland to Thailand, from Guatemala to Mali. But perhaps in Japan more than anywhere else the blue and white aesthetic--pristine, simple, serene--defines elegant taste.
