Summary

Is your child ready for their first day of school? If your child is a bit anxious then this book is for you. In this story, Memphis the Red Bull is going off to Compass Farm School for his very first day. When he gets there, Mrs. Evers the Goose takes him on a tour of the outside and then the inside of the school. There are so many teachers and students there! Memphis isn't used to all the different animals. Their lives are not the same as his, so as the school day goes on he learns more and more about them. His teachers are all different animals too.

As the day goes on Memphis gets more and more relaxed. Toward the end of the day, his butterfly friend McKinzy shows up and as they play their friendship gets even stronger. This is the perfect story for a child who is worried about their first day of school. Children will identify with Memphis as they read the rhymes about his adventurous first day at school.
