Roberto Zevallos has everything, good looks, charm, a sculptured physique, a profitable restaurant in La Molina and enough Money to enjoy all of life's luxuries. He also harbours a very dark secret, a secret that not only threatens his own moral high standing in society, but the integrity of all who come into contact with him.Sylvia Jimenez, despite her stunning beauty and unexpected green eyes, lives in the poverty of urban Cusco, scratching a living with her impoverished parents on a dusty forgotten street away from the wealth and glamour of the tourist areas. Her grandparents, whom she never met, were among the wealthiest landowners in the district, but they lost everything in the Agrarian Reforms of the late 1960's. Sylvia then discovers something bitterly unexpected about her hard working father. Roberto and Sylvia meet in the thriving main square of Cusco and after a week of genuine romance and affection, he unexpectedly invites her back to Lima. Seeing this as a way not only of self advancement, but also as a way of making her father regret his own recent actions, she agrees. The first week is heavenly for both of them, but an unfortunate incident in his restaurant one night brings a series of devastating consequences, and the happiness of this loving couple is shattered by a series of harrowing events that follow.The gardener, Lucio, a former employee on the hacienda owned by Sylvia's grandparents, and now employed by Roberto in Lima, helps Sylvia escape from the trap that she finds herself in, and a dangerous chase across the country follows, culminating in a dramatic climax which leaves more than one person fighting for their honour, their self respect and more importantly, their lives.
