Summary
The wizard Percy was always sure of three things: He was a magical wunderkind, he was the subject of his ancestor Merlyn’s prophecy about Merlyn’s seventh descendant (the Septimum Genus) doing great things, and he would do anything for his twin sister, Merlynda.
But that was before Merlynda was named the Septimum Genus and before Percy was enthralled to steal magic for the evil Morgan le Fey, who longed to return from her well-deserved banishment.
Now, Percy would still do anything for Merlynda, but otherwise, he’s lost. Afraid of his own powers, he can barely help Merlynda return magic to those he stole it from during his time as the Hollower. But when reports of newly Hollowed objects begin swirling, and Percy himself is accused of reverting to his old ways, Percy must clear his name not only to avoid punishment but to save his soul from the guilt that threatens to crush him.
